Growth Stage
The growth stage indicates how complete and fleshed out a note is. This lowers my bar for publishing unfinished and imperfect things and it creates transparency and manages expectations for the reader.
Like for the Epistemic Status, I'm shamelessly stealing my first set, this time from Maggie Appleton:
#stage/stub: A placeholder, I might use this only for unpublished notes
#stage/seedling: A very rough, not at all finished, note.
#stage/budding: Pretty fleshed out, but needs more work.
#stage/evergreen: Very advanced, changes only if I find new or interesting additional info
For now, I'll use #stage/reference for external content – quotes, definitions, or passages from other sources. Since these preserve others' exact words, they won't evolve through my usual stages. They're final upon capture.
This is not implemented widely – mainly because basically all my notes are seedlings at this point.
