Integrated Thinking Environment

What makes new tools like Obsidian, Roam, Logseq & Co. so attractive is that they allow to take notes at the speed of thought. That's why some peolpe call them integrated thinking environments.

The term seems to allude to the term Integrated Development Environment (IDE), which is a software that combines various tools for building software in a, well, integrated environment.

I only understood this reference when I started dabbling in programming myself.
